Heather TerHark is a senior living and post-acute healthcare executive with more than 27 years of experience driving strategy, growth, and innovation. As Chief Strategy Officer at Viva Senior Living, Heather leads enterprise-level initiatives that strengthen occupancy growth, business development, and strategic market positioning across the organization’s portfolio.

Prior to joining Viva, Heather held senior leadership roles including Vice President of Ancillary Services and Managing Director of Consulting Services, where she oversaw sales, public relations, managed care contracting, transitional care program development, and the launch of new service lines across the post-acute continuum. Her operational background includes service as an Executive Director and Regional Marketing Director, providing her with deep insight into both frontline operations and strategic planning.

Heather serves on the HMP Global SMASH (Senior Living Sales and Marketing Conference) Board and the American Health Care Association’s Quality Cabinet Committee for Customer Experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with focus on Healthcare Administration.
