Is there a deadline for registration?
Yes! Registration is open now through Wednesday, May 13. However, registration may close early as attendance at the conference is capped at 400. Secure your spot today!

When does the Early Bird rate end?
To take advantage of Early Bird rates, registrations must be received by the NIC Registrar no later than April 8, 2026, at 11:59 pm ET.

Are group discounts available?
Operators who register 3-5 people receive an additional 4% off each registration. For 6 or more, the discount is 6% per registrant.
To receive the multi-operator discount, all registrants must be registered in the same transaction. Your price will automatically adjust at checkout. NIC cannot retroactively apply this discount.

What forms of payment are accepted?
You can pay by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover) or by check.
Payments by check will be accepted until Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Registrations submitted using the check payment option are considered pending until payment is received. Make checks payable to National Investment Center for Seniors Housing and Care (NIC) and mail to:

Annapolis, MD 21401To avoid cancellation, checks must be received within 10 business days of submitting online registration. In the event of cancellation, hotel rooms reserved at the NIC group rate may also be canceled by NIC. Conference re-registration will be at the current registration rates.
Please note that registrations purchased using company checks/credit cards can be canceled by company personnel on your behalf.
To pay by credit card, after selecting the check payment option, please select the “already registered” button, enter your email address and confirmation number, and submit payment.

Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
If you are no longer able to attend the conference and your company would like to replace your registration with another colleague, a $150 administrative fee will be assessed. The original registration will be cancelled, and your company will be provided a code (if applicable) to honor the rate of the original registrant.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellations must be submitted online via the event registration site or by email to registrar@nic.org. Cancellations received before Wednesday, April 15, will be assessed a $150 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted after Wednesday, April 15. NIC does not issue credits for future NIC events.
In the event of registration cancellation, hotel rooms reserved at the NIC group rate may run the risk of also being canceled. Conference re-registration will be at the current registration rates.

How do I receive my conference badge?
You will pick up your badge at the NIC Registration desk located on the 2nd floor of the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown.

What is the NIC Badge Policy?
- You must wear your badge and lanyard at all times to move about the conference space.
- Badge swapping is not permitted. Anyone found wearing a badge that does not match his/her/their identification will be removed from the conference without a refund. In addition, the registration of any attendee whose badge is being worn by another individual will be forfeited. The NIC Conference has security in place to ensure that only registered individuals have access to the conference space.
- Keep your badge in a safe place. Replacement badges can be printed onsite at a cost of $250 to the attendee.

How do I access the conference attendee list?
The conference attendee list is available exclusively to registered attendees through the Conference Mobile App. Registered attendees will receive an email in late April with details on how to download the app and access the attendee list.

Does NIC sell attendee lists?
NIC does not sell attendee lists. The only way to access the official conference attendee list is through the Conference Mobile App, available only to registered attendees. If you receive an email from someone claiming to have a NIC attendee roster for sale, or feel you are receiving questionable promotional emails, please forward the email to events@nic.org.

What are my travel options?
Getting to Indianapolis is a breeze! Known as the ‘Crossroads of America,’ the city is within a day’s drive of over half the U.S. population. With easy access to major interstates like I-70, I-65, I-69, and I-74, the drive is simple and straightforward. Parking is available at the host hotel. The overnight parking rate is $55 per car and valet parking will be $60 – $75.
For those arriving by air, Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is only 13.5 miles from the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. As of January 2025, there are nonstop flights from 49 domestic destinations across the U.S. to IND.

Is there a NIC conference room block at the hotel?
NIC has reserved a limited number of rooms at a discounted rate for registered attendees. Rooms are available at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown with rates starting at $249 per night + applicable taxes and fees.

How do I change/replace/cancel my hotel reservation?
Please contact the hotel directly for name changes, arrival/departure changes, and/or cancellations. The hotel’s standard cancellation policies will apply.

Will presentation materials or recordings be available after the conference?
Session recordings are not available for NIC conferences. If presentation materials (i.e., handouts or PowerPoint presentations) are available, you will be able to access them through the conference mobile app after the conference.

Yes, your registration includes a reception, a breakfast, two lunches, and breaks.

Yes, all attendees are invited to the Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening.

Business casual attire is appropriate. A jacket or sweater is suggested as meeting rooms may be cold.
