Sue Farrow

“Sue began her career in senior housing in 1975 with Camlu Retirement, owned by industry pioneers Carl and Danny Campbell. Over 16 years, she advanced from Controller to Director of Operations for the South and Southwest, gaining hands-on experience in every facet of the business—from policy development and site selection to implementing emerging technologies.

In 1991, Sue became Vice President of Operations for Transamerica, overseeing a portfolio of senior housing communities. This role broadened her industry reach and led to national leadership opportunities, including serving on the Argentum (then ALFA) board and as founding President of the California Assisted Living Association (CALA).

In 1996, she joined Sunrise Senior Living as Senior Vice President of Operations, helping drive the company’s rapid expansion across the western United States. Later, she was recruited as the founding Chief Operating Officer of Aegis Living, where she played a key role in designing and launching the organization from the ground up.

In 2002, Sue founded Integral Senior Living (ISL) and later Solstice Senior Living. Under her leadership, ISL grew from a single management contract into the nation’s ninth-largest senior housing operator and one of the few dedicated third party management companies. She sold the company in 2023 to Coastwood Senior Investments and Lee Equity Partners.

Today, Sue continues to channel her passion for serving older adults through SHORE (Senior Housing Relief for Elders), a nonprofit providing relocation assistance grants, and as a partner in Lead Genie, a call support center for senior housing communities.”
